In the heart of the over 500-year-old Thanh Ha pottery village, Uncle Sau and his wife quietly preserve the traditional pottery craft of their ancestors. To make a piece of pottery, Uncle Sau has to buy clay, mix it thoroughly, wait until the clay is pliable enough before beginning to shape it. Visitors here not only see the displayed pottery products, but also get to touch the clay themselves, sit at the potter's wheel, and create their first pottery piece with their own hands. It is for this reason that Thanh Ha pottery village becomes an unforgettable memory on your journey to explore Hoi An.
What you'll get to experience with us
Stepping into the small house of Uncle and Aunt Six in Thanh Ha pottery village, you're immediately greeted by the scent of damp clay. On the potter's wheel, Uncle Six guides you to touch the clay, feel its softness, and patiently shape each curve. The electric potter's wheel makes shaping easier, while still preserving the spirit of traditional pottery. In the warm atmosphere, laughter interspersed with simple English from the couple makes the experience feel as intimate as being in a local family.

- 1Hoàn thiện sản phẩm30mKhi công đoạn trang trí hoàn tất, sản phẩm sẽ được sấy khô thêm lần nữa để cố định màu và hình dáng. Sau đó, bạn sẽ nhận lại một món quà nhỏ – chính là sản phẩm gốm do chính tay mình làm nên, mang về như một kỷ niệm đáng nhớ trong hành trình khám phá làng gốm Thanh Hà.
- 2Hướng dẫn & Tạo hình30mBạn sẽ được nghệ nhân hướng dẫn cách nắn và tạo hình đất sét để làm nên sản phẩm gốm mang dấu ấn riêng. Đây là bước khởi đầu thú vị giúp bạn cảm nhận được sự mềm mại của đất và sự khéo léo trong từng chuyển động bàn tay.
- 3Sấy khô lần 1 & trang trí1hSau khi hoàn thiện phần tạo hình, sản phẩm sẽ được nghệ nhân hỗ trợ sấy nhanh lần đầu. Bạn sẽ tự tay trang trí, tô màu hoặc khắc họa tiết theo ý thích để sản phẩm trở nên độc đáo và đậm chất cá nhân.

- Age & health condition: Suitable for all ages.
- Clothing & personal equipment: Should wear neat, comfortable clothes; wear sandals/low shoes as they may get dirty with clay.
- Skills or experience: Not required.
- Safety & support: The workshop is fully equipped with tools, clay, and a safe turntable for both children and adults.
- Additional note: The experience ticket does not include the entrance fee to Thanh Ha Pottery Village (35,000 VND/person).
Cancellation Policy
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours (1 day) before the experience.
- In case the workshop is temporarily closed or the weather is bad, customers can reschedule or receive a full refund.
Child Policy
- Children under 1.2m: Free.
- Children over 1.2m: Charged as adults.
