Incense making was once popular in many villages in Quang Nam province, but it gradually declined with the advent of industrial incense. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Pham Cong Thach returned to his hometown, resumed his family business, and chose to make clean incense from natural ingredients such as herbal powders and natural gum arabic, without using chemicals.
At Pho Hoi Clean Incense facility, the incense-making process takes place in a family setting, entirely by hand and dependent on the weather. Participants directly knead the powder and roll the incense under guidance, experiencing the light, non-harsh, characteristic scent of the natural ingredients.

Then, smell the fragrances of different types of incense to feel the difference between cinnamon, aloeswood, and herbal scents.
