Through the multi‑step handmade process of selecting bark, soaking and pounding fibers, adding plant resins, and drying under the sun, participants engage with ancestral techniques that embody generations of accumulated knowledge, tied to an understanding of forests, water, and seasonal rhythms rather than just producing paper. As someone presses, lifts, and dries each sheet, they feel the patience, precision, and methodical rhythm of manual craft, and witness how this practice reflects community history, cultural values, and everyday life, where the hands that make the paper continue to tell a story about how people and nature have stood together to sustain this tradition.
