The experience at Konke Ruộng Farmstay reflects the forest and farming lifestyle typical of Kon Plông, where many local communities continue to rely on terraced rice fields and surrounding forest resources for their livelihoods. The farmstay was built largely by hand using natural materials, with minimal mechanical intervention to preserve the land’s natural landscape and ecosystem. Activities such as gardening, gathering forest plants and medicinal herbs, pounding rice, cooking with a wood-fired stove, and preparing meals from locally sourced ingredients reflect everyday practices connected to traditional wet-rice culture in the highlands. Through these activities, the experience highlights the relationship between forest, farmland, and community life, as well as how local agricultural traditions are maintained within an eco-tourism setting.

Mang Den is an ancient land with a long and complex geological structure, formed during the Precambrian era about 2.5 billion years ago. Along with the movements of the Earth’s crust at the end of the Tertiary period, Mang Den was affected by the reverberations of the Himalayan orogeny. Entering the Quaternary period, basalt lava flowed across the area, while previous folded and fractured structures continued to uplift. The Ngoc Linh and Pleiku blocks gradually stabilized, and although Mang Den does not belong to the Ngoc Linh mountain system, it is considered the northeastern tail of the Pleiku Plateau. The region features diverse terrain and a cool, temperate climate characteristic of the tropical monsoon highlands, along with fertile basaltic red soil.
